After more than fourteen years together, my partner and I have decided to separate. He’s staying here in Denver where we’ve lived for the last six months or so, and I’m heading back to Chicago around the beginning of April. This is sad, yes, and I’m not too proud to admit I’m a little scared, but ultimately this is a good thing for both of us, and I’m hopeful about the future.
Looking for administrative work – can you help?
I’m looking for work as an administrative assistant (or something very similar) that pays at least $15 an hour ($28,800 per year), but, of course, more is better.
I’ve submitted my résumé for dozens of positions found via online job sites such as Monster and Indeed, but it’s often a case of not what you know, but who you know when it comes to landing a good job—which is why I’m reaching out to my readers here on Time and The – !, and appealing for your help.
A little about my background
My administrative expertise has been honed over more than ten years of work for various organizations, as well as working for myself, and providing detail-oriented support for individuals and teams is something I do well. Furthermore, my recent work has given me the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic range of people and enterprises, from small business owners in Chicago, conference coordinators in Texas, to national labor organizations in Washington, D.C. and around the country.
Each project and job required me to be resourceful, responsive, and organized, and I am confident that these skills and experiences will enable me to be successful at any organization.
If you or someone you know can help me find a job in Chicago, please let me know using the contact form below. Or, could you please re-blog, retweet, and share this post? I’m very grateful for any and all assistance!
If you can help, please send me a message
Daniel is the owner and Managing Editor of Time and The – !. He's been a fan of Doctor Who since watching Tom Baker regenerate into Peter Davison on his local PBS station as a kid. He launched Time and The – ! in 2011 after having the bright (?) idea to watch every Doctor Who story from the beginning and blog about it. (Yeah, he's way behind.)
