Welcome to the second incarnation of Time and The – !.
Honestly, I’m so excited, because this something that I’ve been meaning to do since we first launched this blog. In Doctor Who, the TARDIS is the means that our protagonists—and we, the audience—are taken from adventure-to-adventure, so it seemed appropriate to look to the TARDIS for inspiration as I planned this new site. Some touches are obvious—the roundels and the circular images and icons that recall them, for example—while others are a little more subtle. I’ll leave you to find those out for yourself. Ultimately, my aim was to redesign our Web site in a way that captures something of the spirit of classic Doctor Who, especially the early black-and-white days of the nineteen sixties. I hope I’ve been successful.
I also wanted to make interaction and discussion easy, since that’s what makes the Internet so fun. You can now comment using Facebook if you prefer, and recent posts from our Google+ page are shown in the sidebar along with all the options for staying in touch on Twitter, Facebook, through our RSS feed, and by email.
The actual update didn’t go quite as smoothly as I’d have liked, and there’s still a little work that needs to be done before everything is where it needs to be—if you’re viewing this on your phone, you’ll see what I mean—but I couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out.
Thank you for visiting our blog, reading what we have to say, and especially for all the kind words over the last fifteen months or so. Here’s to many more to come!
Daniel is the owner and Managing Editor of Time and The – !. He's been a fan of Doctor Who since watching Tom Baker regenerate into Peter Davison on his local PBS station as a kid. He launched Time and The – ! in 2011 after having the bright (?) idea to watch every Doctor Who story from the beginning and blog about it. (Yeah, he's way behind.)
